Before organizing my artwork into categories, I couldn’t quite put my finger on what connected them all. It wasn’t until I shared them with my family that the patterns started to emerge—something I hadn’t even noticed myself! Themes, colors, and inspirations were woven through every piece, so I decided to capture that journey in a video. What started as a 3-minute video quickly became too much for one video, so I’ve broken it down into a series. Here’s part 1 of 3. Now, it’s official: I’m drawn to bodies of water, bright colors are my forever companions, and I’m deeply influenced by the intricate details of Islamic art, which subtly find their way into my detailed work. There’s also a touch of impressionism that I never realized was there. What’s fascinating is that I never saw these connections myself. For me, painting has always been a way to unwind and ground myself—letting the themes unfold naturally. Which paintings or details resonate with you in this video?
