Your final photographs will be sent via wetransfer, which is an easy + free email service.
3. do i get to select all the images?
Part of my job is making the image selects and choosing the most flattering photographs. The images I do not deliver are either repeats, blurry or out of focus, shots of you blinking or mid-sentence speaking. I have no reason to withhold any images if there are additional ones i think you would enjoy! Rest assured, you will get the best images from the event.
4. what if i want more edited images than offered in the package i choose?
My work is divided into to two Parts: Photography and Editing. Each Photograph requires hours of tedious editing and fine tuning prior to the final photographs. The packages offer you limited edits as per the basic requirements of majority of the clients. You could always ask for more edits, keeping in mind each edit costs an additional $25.
5. what if i want to book you for a longer period than the package?
Each hour consists of hundreds if not thousands of clicks, which eventually impacts the life of my equipment.
I charge additional $300 per hour.
6. i am a little tight on my budget can i still be accommodated?
Of course! I would hate to send you back, Contact me and let me know what you have in mind. If my schedule allows - I might be able to accommodate you!
7. can i get an album or hard copies?
If you require hard copies or an album, please let me know prior to your shoot so that you are charged accordingly. There are additional charges for albums.
8. how can i get a discount?
You can unlock discounts on double bookings, referrals, or if you have a seasonal discount code.
9. will i get all the images from the shoot/event
You pay for a limited amount of photographs, as per the package you've chosen. Unedited/raw images are not included. However, if you need all the unedited photographs from the event please let me know prior to the event so that I can give you a better quotation of your package that includes the raw footage.
Estimate: 10 extra unedited images for $200
NOTE: You can not change your package at the last minute (for example: wanting all unedited images from the event instead of the limited edited images from that package that are paid for)
10. how do i know my booking is confirmed?
60% non-refundable advance payment is required to secure your session date + time, at least 3 weeks prior to the shoot. Followed by the remaining 40% upon delivery of shortlisted images. Once you’ve deposited the amount you will receive an email with an invoice confirming your deposit and booking
PLEASE NOTE: If you book a shoot with less than 1 week's notice, then a 100% non-refundable advance payment is required to secure the session date and time.
I do not write anything down in my calendar until the deposit has been paid, making your desired time slot up for grabs.
11. what happens if you need to cancel/the weather is whack?!
If the weather is crazy/act of God/fall sick/etc, you can put your deposit toward a re-schedule or you can have it refunded, so long as you cancel within 30 days before the shoot. However, if you cancel less than three weeks left to your booked session or if you don’t show up to the session, the deposit will not be refunded.
12. why do i have to pay a deposit?
The purpose of the deposit is to lock in your date + time with all the photographers you need. If you cancel last minute, I still have to pay other photographers and could have booked someone else during that period. Nothing is booked until the deposit has been paid.
13. are there any additional charges not covered in the package price?
The prices for the listed packages primarily cover the photography and/or videography services. However, they do not include travel, commute, or accommodation expenses for shoots outside of my base city. Any such additional costs will be communicated and agreed upon prior to booking confirmation.

How long does it take to do family portraits?
Discover how long it takes to create timeless family portraits. Explore factors like family composition, session types, and weather conditions that influence the duration. From mini sessions to family films, find the perfect option for your cherished memories. Contact us to schedule your session today!
Family portraits are a timeless way to preserve precious memories and celebrate the bond shared among loved ones. From toddlers giggling to grandparents sharing wisdom, each member contributes to the story captured through the lens. But have you ever wondered how long it takes to create these enduring portraits?
The duration of a family portrait session can vary depending on several factors, each contributing to the overall experience and outcome. Here, we explore these factors to help you understand what to expect when scheduling your family photo session.
Composition of the Family:
One significant factor influencing the duration of a family portrait session is the composition of the family itself. A small nuclear family may require less time compared to a large extended family gathering. Moreover, the age range of family members plays a crucial role. When there are young children or elderly family members involved, additional time may be needed to ensure everyone is comfortable and cooperative.
Quantity and Quality:
On average, a standard family portrait session aimed at capturing around 20 high-quality images may take anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes. However, this timeframe is merely an estimate and can vary based on individual circumstances. For instance, if there are restless toddlers or elderly relatives who need breaks, the session may extend beyond the initial estimate.
Weather Conditions:
Another factor to consider is the weather conditions on the day of the shoot. Extreme temperatures, whether hot or cold, can affect both the photographer and the clients. Taking breaks to cool down or warm up may be necessary, thereby potentially prolonging the session duration.
Specialized Shoots:
Certain types of family portrait sessions, such as pregnancy shoots or newborn baby sessions, often require more time and attention to detail. These moments are unique and require patience and flexibility from both the photographer and the clients. It's advisable to consult with your photographer beforehand to understand the specific requirements and anticipated duration for such specialized shoots.
Varieties of Family Portrait Sessions and Timeframes:
When it comes to capturing the essence of your family, there's a range of portrait sessions available, each tailored to different preferences and requirements. Here's an overview of the types of shoots I offer, along with their typical durations:
Mini Session – 15-20 Minutes:
Mini sessions are ideal for marking milestones or updating family photos without committing to a full session. Lasting between 15 to 20 minutes, these sessions focus on quick yet meaningful snapshots. They're especially suited for families with young children, considering their shorter attention spans. If there are sessions before or after yours, I ensure to buffer our time slightly to avoid anyone feeling rushed.
Full Session – 30-45 Minutes:
For a more comprehensive family portrait experience, opt for a full session. Typically lasting between 30 to 45 minutes, these sessions provide ample time for everyone to relax and get comfortable. We often schedule full sessions during the golden hour sunset, when lighting is perfect. However, I'm flexible and attuned to your family's dynamics, adjusting as needed.
Family Film – 60-90 Minutes:
Family film sessions offer a deeper dive into storytelling, capturing authentic moments and emotions as they unfold. Lasting between 60 to 90 minutes, these sessions may vary based on the flow of the day and activities we engage in. Whether at your home or a scenic location, storytelling takes time, and I prioritize an unhurried approach. During these sessions, we take breaks, share meals, and fully immerse ourselves in the experience.
No matter which session you choose, I aim to create a relaxed, enjoyable experience true to your family's story. If you're ready to capture your family's essence in stunning portraits or heartwarming films, get in touch today to schedule your session. Let's work together to preserve your cherished memories for generations to come.
In conclusion, while the average family portrait session typically lasts between 30 to 60 minutes, various factors can influence the actual duration. To ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience, communication with your photographer is key. By discussing your family's composition, preferences, and any special considerations, you can work together to create timeless portraits that you'll cherish for years to come.

From choosing the perfect, weather-appropriate outfit to mastering those photo-ready poses, I've compiled essential tips to ensure you feel confident and look your best.
So you have an upcoming event or special occasion, and you have booked a photographer to capture your moment.
As the day gets closer, you are getting increasingly anxious about the photoshoot. You have so many questions in your mind, and you don't know how to control your nerves.
Well, don’t worry. I got you! I work with families and brands every day, and let me assure you, everyone feels the same way.
I have put together some valuable tips to think about before your shoot. Trust me, some planning will make you feel super confident in no time. Let’s start. shall we?
Get your outfit Weather-ready
I am sure since this is a special occasion, you already have an outfit planned. But in case you don’t, right now is an excellent time to plan out your outfit. A key point to consider is: What will the weather be like? It’s essential to dress comfortably. Imagine wearing a dress in San Francisco in the summer. HAH! a rookie mistake!
The point is, to dress comfortably according to your surroundings. If you are shooting in a location where you have never been before, ask your photographer and maybe check the weather app.
Pick the right outfit
When you look your best, you also feel your best. If this is a special occasion, definitely think about what types of outfits suit you and what type of colors go with your skin tone. Confused? ask your photographer to guide you and help you pick the right colors.
Lucky for you, I am obsessed with color theory and I will be more than happy to help you pick the right outfit and be super excited about it.
Clean up
While most photographers are part-time magicians, sometimes the magic doesn’t happen. The camera picks up every detail, so if you can fix things beforehand, this is the time to do it. Iron your clothes, polish your shoes, thinking of getting a haircut? SCHEDULE IT RIGHT NOW! Trust me you won’t regret it.
Poses
Okay, so you have everything figured out except you think you are an awkward poser and you think you are not photogenic. WRONG! Posing is a skill that can be learned with time. Sure, some people are naturally photogenic, they do everything right without even knowing. Who says you can't? Fake it! I will help you.
I have so many resources that I have collected over the years to help you pose and prepare for the shoot. Want to know a secret?
Most photographers, including me, are awkward posers but we know how to fake it, and I will guide you and wont finish the shoot until you are satisfied. The key is to find a photographer you can be comfortable around.
You got this
If this is your first shoot then I don’t blame you for feeling stressed out. It’s scary not knowing how it’s going to turn out, but let me assure you it is not as jarring as you think it is. It all boils down to those few minutes and if you find the perfect chemistry with the photographer, you will be amazed at how many photos you can get. The photographer is your friend and only wants great photographs as much as you. If you guide the artist and explain your vision beforehand, then I assure you, your shoot will be amazing! You can book a free 15-minute consulting session with me and discuss all your concerns.
Lastly, don’t forget to be yourself and have fun! The camera only catches what you show it.
